WORKSHOP 2: Re-inhabiting your Body:
                        Vital Fitness for Men and
                        Women of Color

Presented by Jarid Manos,                                                                      Author of Ghetto  Plainsman,
Founder and CEO of Great Plains                                    Restoration Council

TIME:    12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
            Hospitality Suite 2, 3rd Floor

SYNOPSIS:  Jarid’s “Re-inhabiting your Body” workshop employs a samurai approach to deep, vital health, where participants learn how to ‘get ripped’ physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally by anchoring oneself in a manner of peace and strength within. Learn how to live within your body, your musculature, and your vital organs and physiology, all seamlessly connected and supporting each other. This confident internal performance then provides you with an athletic solid core, no matter your body type, age or health status, that time after time will ‘have your back” when any of life’s stresses, challenges, or threats come at you, and in turn allows you to be stronger for others.  A samurai is  “one who serves.” Our lives are not just for ourselves. The planet and our children’s health and future are entering uncertain times. As people of color, we are already accustomed to struggles and not always having a life of comfort. So we are uniquely positioned to lead. But we can only do so by taking care of our own health. Then you are not a willing victim or accomplice to your own illness and destruction. Instead, we learn to lead by living vital, healthy, conscious lives, decreasing our impact on others and the Earth, and helping others.
